Doorbell only ringing through home assistant, button doesn't work

I came across Frencks site (DIY Smart Doorbell for just $2, no soldering required » Frenck.dev) and thought it would be a good starter project. Later on i would like to install this at my mothers house, her hearing is getting worse by the year.

I think i got everything connected the right way and through the doorbell dashboard i can turn on the doorbell only the button doesn’t work.

I also checked this earlier topic with the same problem but that didn’t help

As far as I can tell, the wiring looks correct. However, I do notice 3 wires coming from the doorbell button cable. Are you sure you got the right ones? One thing you could try for testing is to jumper the doorbell button wiring manually, right there.
