Drayton Wiser Home Assistant Integration

on Wiser Thermostat in the top left corner ?

It simply means that the thermostat is demanding 40% of full heat. If you donā€™t have OpenThem, your boiler works only with on/off modulation and Wiser will try and modulate the output based on the demand by cycling the boiler and/or opening and closing the iTRV if you have them.

The value in the top left on the roomstat display is the humidity

Speaking of OpenTherm, is there any update from Drayton about getting this to work with system boilers? I connected the module today and was happy to see it working with both settings (opentherm modulation and on/off load compensation) and could see flow & return temps, only to discover this evening that it now wont turn on demand from my hot water cylinder.

Did some googling and saw reports of this issue to Drayton 3 years ago but cant find anything more recent. I have emailed them but I also emailed them when away mode for multiple occupants stopped working and they said a fix was being on worked onā€¦that was over 2 years ago as well.

Hi.

Im in process of replacing my old thermostats.
I have looked at Wiser Exxact thermostats.
https://www.productinfo.schneider-electric.com/wiser_eu/viewer?docidentity=Exxact-ConnectedThermostatRoomFloor-1F7DB413&lang=en&extension=xml&manualidentity=DeviceUserGuideExxact-ConnectedTher-1F825078

What Im asking is. Does these thermostats work with HA directly or is HA able to communicate only with Wiser hub?

look like they need to be connected to a Wiser Hub.

Using the Wiser app, pair your thermostat with the Gateway/Hub to access and control it. You can either pair the device manually or do an auto-scan.

Donā€™t wait for Schneider to add full OT support for system boilers, I have requested many enhancements over the past year none of which have been implemented.

Is there a way to distinguish between a manual boost from turning the TRV, and a boost from a HA service call? I am using an automation similar to the ā€œUsing External Temp Sensor to Manage Room Temp Accuracy V2ā€ recipe, which will cancel a manual boost if the target temp is reached, rather than leaving the boost on for the prescribed length.

Natively I donā€™t think so, but you can get around this in much the way you can with a light switch being turned on/off at a switch compared with in an automation. Create an input boolean (toggle) helper and switch that on if you boost via an automation. Create another automation to turn the toggle off when boost is turned off.

Hi, Iā€™ve just bought the kit 2. Would you know if thereā€™s been any development to support 2 channel with opentherm?

Further to my issues with trying to install HACS i decided to perform a new install of HA on an SSD. Unfortunately this install also failed but for a different reason so i went back to the USB stick and performed a new install of HA which worked. I then installed HACS with no issues and i now have the Wiser integration installed successfully. I now need to spend some time figuring out how everything works.

Can someone just let me know what the most up to date firmware is for the hub and TRVs please?

These are the latest firmwares I have for my devices, which I believe are the latest:

Hub: 3.14.0
iTRV: 0.60.4
Room Thermostat: 0.60.3
Plug/Repeater: 0.0.34

Just digging out the old hub and looking at setting it up again rather than directly pairing the TRVs via Zigbee2MQTT.

The Hub is showing up as 3.10.8 and has been on for several hours now. Is there any way I can coerce it into updating?

TRV is showing firmware as 0000ea64. Has the firmware versioning changed at some point?

  1. Yes, contact support and ask them to send the firmware (if it doesnā€™t automatically update in e.g. 24 hours).

  2. Yes, it went from hex to decimal a few versions ago.

Making progress now but one thing is perplexing me, how do I move cards within a dashboard to group them together, example, all the tech cards together.

Thanks

Anyone know what it could be if the schedule turns off an hour early?

When i fire ā€œ{{ utcnow() }}ā€ or ā€œ{{ now() }}ā€ I get the correct times but my schedule is off by one hour

Is the time correct on the Wiser hub? You can see it in the Wiser app under settings - system settings. See the time at the top of the screen.

Is the time zone correct on that same page?

In the Home Assistant integration have you got Wiser Daylight Saving switched on under the HeatHub controls?

I think youā€™re looking for the Vertical Stack, Horizontal Stack and Grid Cards that can be used to arrange other cards inside them and group them together.

Thanks but i can not find those settings anywhere.
