Edit a widget?

I’ve put a couple of entity widgets on the home screen of my Samsung Galaxy S8. That’s fine, but I need to edit one of them and frankly entering the entity is awkward, so i would like to avoid having to do it over.

Is there a way to edit the widget?

And, while on the subject, is there a better way of setting up the widgets than typing on the cell phone screen? Entering entities is hard enough on the small screen; I’m not even going to attempt entering a template…

EDIT: Typo…

No current way to edit widgets. For the template widget just make your life easier and build templates on desktop then send to mobile using some other means like text message or email.

How is it awkward to enter an entity? You get a neat drop down search field to quickly find an entity by typing it in. Can’t get any easier IMO.

It may not be possible to make entering the entity easier. The problem, I guess, is the combination of small screen and meaty fingers…

One reason why I’d like to be able to edit widgets is that sometimes it’s hard to tell how an entity widget is going to look with a particular text size. Several times I’ve created a widget and realised that the text is too large and the only way to change the text size is to delete and recreate it.

The thing is, I can think of no good reason why widgets shouldn’t be editable. Except, of course, that its development is pending - which is quite understandable.

So editable widget is a feature request.
