Edit titles of items in sidebar

It could be helpful to provide a native way to edit names / titles of items in the sidebar. For example, what if a user wants “Music Assistant” to display as just “Music”, “Frigate” to just say “Cameras”, or “Alarmo” to show as “Home Alarm”?

How to edit names of items in Sidebar?

Hello, perhaps I’m missing something obvious, but how can I rename the titles of items shown in the lovelace sidebar? For example, I could rename “Frigate” to “Cameras” and rename “Music Assistant” to simply “Music”. There must be an easy, and persistent way to do this but I’m missing it. I see multiple requests for customizing sidebar size, colors, icons, etc. There’s a custom component to override the sidebar’s titles but is cumbersome for the average users and is not persistent.
This might be something that is better accomplished at a HA / Lovelace level.
