I wanted to set up ssh, but can’t edit the configuration file.
I installed the file editor, but it only shows one directory, none of the files are what is needed… (can’t find file editor, ssh, ftp,etc folders/files)
I did enable advanced mode in my profile.
What directory does it show you?

There are two folders
Tts & blueprints
No hint of ssh, ftp, hacs, etc
Or am I missing something obvious?
No, it sounds as if you’re in the right place - and there should be more than that.
The 3rd party integration “HACS” will be in /config/custom_components
The others are add-ons in different containers that you can’t access that way as far as I am aware. You will need to use the Advanced Web Terminal with protection mode off. However that is not recommended.
Just install this addon:
No messing with the file editor required.
I failed to notice the “config” icon. Disabled “force basebath”… Seems that’s the bit I was missing.
Now to figure out how to get tapo cameras kasa switches, & mysa thermostats integrated (have hacs installed)… Nearing a complete reset to try again…

Tapo is auto discovered, nothing to do with HACS.

I never got to work my Tapo cameras reliable with the built in Tapo integration. And much more control with the HACS integration.
I couldn’t get the cameras to even show up with the integration.
Could you share what you did to get them to work with hacs? I got hacs installed.
In HACS, search for ‘Tapo camera control’, install, restart HA, add integration, search for’Tapo camera control’ again, install, restart HA.

@nickrout, the native tapo/tplink doesn’t see the cameras or doorbell.
I just get a “this can’t be added from the ui”. I tried using 2 web browsers… I’m clearly not getting something.
At what stage does it say “this can’t be added from the UI”
