I am trying my hand at home assistant green in a effort to move away from homey pro after the acquisition. I got it started went to onboarding. Filled it out to create new user and it would just sit there. Power cycled it and now it wants a user name and password to log in and the one I put in during the onboarding does not work. Any ideas? This should not be this hard. I am not a programmer but I have set up homey, hubitat, smart things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you can’t login using the (administrator) account you created, you will need to perform a factory reset (because there’s no utility available to retrieve an account’s password).
It’s more involved than merely pushing a reset button so be certain you have exhausted all username/password combinations before resorting to a factory reset.
As you seem to have a new installation, I’d suggest just to do a reinstall - fresh. Why bother?
It shouldn’t be that hard, and normally it isn’t. So must be something different not working here, or, and that’s what I’d guess, it was just a hickup, that happens sometimes.
Just to be clear, what you’ve done for now was trying to work with the pre-installed image on the GREEN, right? Or did you already try to reset or install the OS on the SD-card?
