Exposing a native HA timer to Google Assistant

“Hey Google - how long left on the wash?”

Real requirement:

  1. I have a wifi connected Washing Machine (why?.. god knows - but it is so… erm)
  2. It reports the end time of the current wash (Samsung SmartThings)
  3. An automation watches this and turns it into a native HA Timer - this perfectly reports a “time until done”

How can I expose this to Google Assistant

I think I can’t (Expose native HA timers to Google Assistant)

But maybe I’ve missed a trick?
