Fyta - min/max thresholds

I understand that the Fyta API can provide min/max values. Is it possible to add these to the integration?

Hello Ron Dol,

Feature Request Guidelines 📔.

I am assuming you mean this:

And are you wanting actual numbers instead of this?

For plant measurements, the following status scale is applied:

    No Data
    Too Low
    Low
    Perfect
    High
    Too High

That’s the kind of info you should add to a Feature Request…

Also if you think it’s a good idea, you should make the effort to vote for it as well.

I completely agree with this feature request!

The ability to display min/max thresholds from the Fyta API would be incredibly valuable. While working on my custom Fyta plant card, I noticed how helpful it would be to make the meter bars more dynamic by incorporating these thresholds.

In the current implementation, I’ve set up color-coded status indicators based on the states (too_low, low, perfect, high, too_high), but having actual min/max thresholds from the API would make this visualization even more precise and informative. It would allow users to see exactly where their plant’s values fall within the acceptable ranges.

I’ve already implemented the card to display sensor values with interactive tooltips and colored meters, so adding the min/max thresholds would be a natural next step. This would provide users with more context about their plant’s needs and help them make better decisions about care.

I’d be happy to update the card to support these values once they’re available in the integration. This would give users a much clearer picture of their plant’s status relative to the ideal ranges.
