But if I try to add the line “unique_id: ”, I get the following error message displayed when I check the configuration: “Invalid config for google_wifi from integration ‘sensor’ at sensor.yaml, line 18: ‘unique_id’ is an invalid option for ‘sensor.google_wifi’, check: unique id”
The five sensors and their data are displayed correctly, but without the unique ID, I can’t manage their settings from the UI (such as change their names, etc.)
Don’t see that listed as a config option in the docs:
The fact that it’s such an old integration and apparently only has a whopping 22 users reporting, it probably hasn’t gotten any love from the developers for a LONG time.
If it’s an old core integration, it may not have a unique_id set-up.
You could get real clear on what you want and add a Feature Request for that to be added. Guidelines here: Feature Request Guidelines 📔.
