Hello - I bought the HA green and it came with a nice leaflet offering a 2 step solution to connection, but which is a bit more difficult than that. The lights appear to be working as expected signalling power and flashing light sin the appropriate colour and style. I have hard wired from a solid Deco router with the cable that came with the HA. I cannot find anything using the HA app on Android, nor via the browser on http://homeassistant.local:8123. There is an error message of website not found via the browser.
I have linked a monitor via the HDMI HA port and I can see the screen but I notice 2 things which may be problematic. A warning of low voltage (i have tried 2 x separate plugs in different locations in the apartment, witht he same result)
Second issue - no IPV4 address is present and I am unsure how to fill in the blanks on that - I have a IPv4 LAN IP: 192.168.68.1 as determined by my web browser when I log in to the Deco Router link from my laptop. I have no idea to establish what Port the HA is on and whether the IPv4 address for the HA is the same or different to that shown on the web browser. I am a bit stuck and any advice would be appreciated - I have read a few forums over the last few days and cannot find any answer that is helping me after I try.
There is an optional coin cell battery on the PCB. It backs up the real time clock chip so HA does not forget the time when the power is removed. You don’t have one (or it is flat) → RTC low voltage warnings. If you want to fit one you will need a CR2032 battery. Just remove the four screws in the base to gain access. As I said this is optional and should not stop you from setting up the Green.
Thankyou very much for the quick response.
It is working somewhat so I think with your guidance, I am on the right track.
The end part of ‘save’ and ‘quit’ may not work exactly as described in the linked post and i decided to soft reset using the button the back of HA held down for 6 secs. I re checked using the text entered as per linked post, but also noted that the ‘home’ screen does not show any IPV4 address for end0 (i.e. it is still blank) - which seems strange as the ‘print ipv4’ command shows it being 8.8.8.8 - which is the address which I entered based on the solution from the linked post
So unfortunately, I am still stuck with not being able to connect via web browser nor android phone with the same endless searching message on HA on Android…
I think to remember several posts about the deco router having issues with HA.
I can’t remember if it just needs a firmware update or you need to configure something on the router, but search on the forum should give some hits.
Thanks
from Homes Assistant , when it is showing " ha > " - if I type in the Ping command it returns an error unknown command. I tried it from my laptop cmd line and it returns a proper result
Thank you
‘Network is unreachable’ - I have tried 2 separate LAN cables now and the same result
It is a reasonably new router; and a brand new HA green
will search the forums and see what I get for that error message
