HADash only receiving data, not controlling entities

I have just gotten started with HADash and when I set up my first widget, it will not control the lights, but it will show me the correct state. For example, if I turn on the lights and refresh the dash, it shows it as on. If I turn off the lights and refresh, it show as off. But if I hit the switch, nothing occurs.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

What version of AppDaemon are you running?

Can you post your logfiles please.
