HAOS UI Broken after update to 14.0

,

Hello,

Yesterday updated HAOSS to 14.0 and Core to 12.0.

Since then something very bizarre is happening: after some time I can no longer access the GUI as it returns “unknown error” which obviously doesn’t help.

What makes it very hard to troubleshoot is that apparently the GUI can be accessed from WAN for a short time after that happens but suddenly after less than a minute it becomes inaccessible from there too.

Moreover, automations they keep working as they should for a number of hours until the whole thing stops responding.

Rebooting doesn’t help.

You need to know my data is on NVME, so a fresh install works immediately without me needing to restore any backup. However, after a few random hours this behaviour presents itself again.

What would you suggest to troubleshoot?

I believe there was an update 2 hours ago(edit: it wasnt) with something to do with a memory issue are you able to access that update?

Is this a proxmox setup?

Core logs commands

ha core logs
ha supervisor logs
ha host logs

Reverting corrects the issue? Are all devices having problems connecting?

Hey Jerry, thanks for your reply.

I’m running HAOS on RPi5, I’m going to run yet another fresh install and check whether there’s an update and will post outcomes shortly

No errors in logs whatsoever.
System operating as it should (for now) and no updates available

Sorry I retracted my update statement, I was reading an update for a completely different thing.

Have you tried to monitor the system? What’s the temp of the rpi5?

I think its

vcgencmd measure_temp

and
top (system monitor)
or
htop

Seeing how the boards aren’t lit up with RPI not working after the last update Id recommend turning different things on and off one at a time through your home assistant(any random integrations or anything oddly specific for you).

Best of luck to you and sorry for the incorrect statement, makes me feel really bad when I mix up what I read and where.

Apparently it’s a known bug with RPi5+NVMe so I reverted to OS 13.2 which is stable

We had the same issue (just HA Logo on Web Page, no Android App access) after HA Upgrade to 14.0. HA is running on QNAP Virtualization Station with 8GB RAM, 2 CPUs, 100GB HDD. After we restored a snapshot to 13.2, HA is running well again.

Have the same issue updating to 14 on VirtualBox. Can’t access anything after clicking the update so stuck having to revert.
