I think we’re talking about separate issues. I tried maxing out the power consumption by doing video transcoding for a couple of hours. While the test was running, neither the Pi nor HA itself had any problems (other than getting really hot!). I have yet to find a correlation between my random restarts and any other tracked metric.
I am also only running HA core in a docker container, not the full HASS.IO OS.
Your power supply may have been your issue, but it almost certainly wasn’t mine.
I used this powered USB3 hub: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G8CMR18/
So far I am powering the rpi4 from the dedicated charge port on the hub (no data), and the Coral from one of the regular data ports. I don’t know if the original 3A power supply was a faulty one, but switching it out definitely solved my short-term stability problem.
The new hub has a 4A supply and can provide 2.4A to the dedicated charge port, and presumably at least 900mA to the regular data ports per Coral’s spec sheet for max draw.

Looks like I found the same powered USB3 hub in Sweden: atolla 7ports USB 3.0 hubb 5Gbps med extra port för laddning 2,4A indi – Nördic (page in Swedish).

This sounds like a different issue to the one originally posted about, which is definitely related to the OS version and some incompatibility introduced in 5.x, which I am unsure whether it has yet been addressed as I haven’t checked recently.
Hello all i have also been experiencing home assistant crashing do you think this is the same issue discussed on this thread and that I should be down grade the os.
I have been having issues for over a year on a pi 3b, 6 months ago i upgraded to pi4 2gig thinking (hoping) this would resolve it but even now HA crashes for no good reason, have left it connected to keyboard and monitor normally it is unresponsive when it crashes with no msg but to day i had a few additional lines.

any advice
I use hass os boot from sd card. have replaced sd card a couple of times to rule out corrupt card assume power supply is good HA monitors it ?
I have an RPi 4 64-bit, Kingston SSD and I downgraded to 5.4 and it’s stable again since. I saw issues since 5.6. System would go down within 24h. Sometimes within 1h, sometimes it nearly lasted a day. Unmanageable for a system that runs your house:).
Not sure what it is. I can see there are multiple tickets raised on Git too, but none seem to provide definitive closure nor any indication that someone is working on it or close to fixing it.
Sticking to 5.4 until I see some progress there.
I have the same issue, my pi 4 with ssd drive normaly crashed every 2 weeks. But after the last updates it crashes every 24 hour. In this way the ha is not usable. I run the ha boot direct on my pi so no containers and running the plugins vpn, knx, duckDNS and the new Slimme meter. I have the latest version of ha installed. I hope it can be solved because Otherwise all my work and settings are useless
Have you tried downgrading to 5.4 or lower? Cleanest way I found was to make a snapshot, download the 5.4 image from git and start with a clean 5.4 install. Restoring your snapshot.
I got all kind of funny errors in the log when I use the command in the console to downgrade.
I prefer to run the latest version due to security updates. I removed the Nissan Leaf code and now it runs a few days. It look like HA hangs after to many errors in the log.
I do too, however I prefer my house to work above the latest update

I tried disabling different integrations and add ons, but nothing seemed to fix it.
I hope they will solve this kind of buffer overflow bug. They work so hard on the new integrations of HA, every week tons of improvements. But if the platform HA has major bugs like this what the use of it 
i had this problem as mentioned with my Rpi4 with MicroSD card.
a month ago i migrated my HA installation to ODROID N2+ with 64GB EMMC.
haven’t had any issues since and i’m running the lastest versions ever since i migrated to the new hardware.
Question is why is it happening to some RPi users and not to others. I have a mate with roughly the same set up and he’s cruising along nicely with updates while mine doesn’t

I’m not in the business of switching my hardware around every time that could be a potential issue. Let along have the money to spend on it.
But I’m also not going to slam the creators for it as I don’t have the technical inclination to start digging in logs and producing error logs to be analyzed.
I’ll just have to wait for people more clever than me to figure it out.
The most problem happens because of microSD again if you are having a problem and your friend is not having it, maybe time to check your microSD.
What SD card did you buy? What one did your friend buy. There’s an SD card that has proven to work, if I recall correctly, it’s the Samsung evo.
We both have a Kingston SSD, so not related to SD card. I appreciate all the suggestions, but I’ve checked all of that: Sata adapter changed, attached SSD to power usb hub, changed to an official RPi power supply, plug in usb2 instead of 3, CPU load, temp, memory usage… It happens on both sd as SSD.
All the obvious suspects have been meticulously ruled out.
just in case this puts any light on this problem after a week away HA obviously went down, but when i got home for the first time i was able to access the home-assistant-log. i don’t no if half the logs are because it crashed or the cause but here we are !!

Current Status 05/08/2021
Given the amount of time that has passed, I hoped this may have been resolved in the latest OS (6.2). Therefore, I tried upgrading, only to have everything become unresponsive within 24 hours, exactly as experienced previously, requiring a power cycle on my Raspberry Pi to bring it back to life.
In summary then, the current status, unfortunately. appears to be unchanged and this is still an issue as of OS 6.2. The really bad news is that downgrading back to OS 4.20 no longer seems to be possible! Issuing the command ha os update --version 4.20 in the terminal produces an unknown error and the Supervisor log shows the following:

I will continue to investigate and see if there is another way to downgrade. Otherwise, it might be a case of reimaging from an old base image I still have copy of (OS 4.15), upgrading to OS 4.20 and restoring everything from a snapshot. 
I recall you need to downgrade to 5.13 before you can downgrade to older versions.

Stability has gotten so bad I have put a Kasa smart switch in front of my RPi so I can just power cycle it. Comes right back up and it seems to be dying every 1-2 days.
