Same question here, will 4.9 fix all the issues with 4.8?
Do you have news about it?
Doesn’t look like it for me. Wow, this release, woof.
Hey i didnt found the exact same issue here. So my Raspi 4 doesnt even seem to start. If i connect it to my display theres just black.
I dont have any Snapshot so how can i rebuild my config to a new installation?
4.8 installed fine on my rpi4. I got cocky and rolled the dice with 4.9 and that’s the one that took me out. I’m now knee deep in my first emergency restore. Thank God for the Google drive snapshot add-on.
I am going to try a clean install of 4.9 on my Odroid N2 and see if that does work, perhaps it’s the update from … to… that messes it up. At least we will have some extra info then.
For now, the latest stable build I used was a clean install of 4.6
Update from 4.6 to 4.7 > bad at booting up, lockups
Update from 4.6 to 4.8 > bad at booting up, lockups, USB stopping after 9 hours
Update from 4.6 to 4.9 > Supervisor lockups after 9 hours
Clean install 4.6 > everything working great and is stable
On all versions I do restore the same backup
I do see that Odroid is receiving fixes at this moment lets see what that brings.
PS: Odroid N2 is still considered beta so no real indication of the quality of HassOS releases in general.
Everything’s still working fine after my fix but when I try to open the Supervisor menu, I get this error: Unable to load the panel source: /api/hassio/app/entrypoint.js
A short search gives me the creeps again… Maybe a clean install is the best option here?
Thanks - worked for me
Same error here.
How I can manual install this version? Thanks
For Rpi2 and 3 the latest stable release is 3.13 (they still have problems to fix). This causes already updated OSs to suggest an update-downgrade
See:

Edit: in theory now it’s available (you have to reload the Supervisor)
To update or not to update, this is the question.
Well thats blown it - upgraded to 4.9 and now it won’t boot.
I just don’t learn, if it ain’t broke, don’t click the update button - every flippin time something goes wrong. So now I’m not going to bed, I’ve gotta spend the night starting again otherwise my house won’t work.
4.10 Broke MQTT for me.
I have a full backup as of yesterday as I was moving my install to another SSD.
EDIT: rpi3b
Good to know - I will wait
I temporarily fixed my issue by restarting the hassio_supervisor docker last night… this morning the error returned.
Updating to 0.110.5 seemed to break the scrolling in my app.
So the last few updates broke more than it fixed… I’m worried I might need to reinstall…
The integrated one or Mosquitto?
Just updated to 4.10 (from 3.13 after rolling back from 4.8). Everything working fine
Although I’m weirdly getting a supervisor update notification for version 228 but see no mention of this version anywhere.
For me too
Home Assistant Add-on: Mosquitto broker 5.1 wouldn’t accept connections from anything other than HA itself.
As I have a lot going through there, I reverted. Upgraded Home Assistant itself ok, the hassOS upgrade itself was the problem.
