Hm, you have OFF defined for the time from 00:00 to 17:00, are you sure that’s what you want?

Rules are evaluated from top to bottom until one gives a final result. From 00:00 to 17:00 this would be OFF (or OFF - 3 which is still OFF, respectively). You should make the 20 degrees rule valid from 09:00 to 00:00 if you want to have 20/17 degrees during the day.

And, what’s really important: OFF has to stand in quotes ("OFF") to prevent YAML from interpreting it as false instead.

I setup heaty today and it won’t turn on anything…I use a custom component for climate with temperature sensor inside but heaty won’t turn on the set temp defined in schedule…

@thundergreen If you want me to participate in the discussion, please don’t post images. I’m blind and can’t see them, only text. Don’t worry, it’s not your fault to haven’t considered it, I’m just mentioning.

And, without a debug log of Heaty and a minimal configuration needed to reproduce the issue you won’t get help at all, sorry. But it’s my spare time I’m investing here and that’s to valuable for being spent with guessing.

But maybe someone else can help you with your issue.

Dear Robert …no problem I’ll provide config snippet logs and details as soon as possible. In the screenshot it’s just shown that attributes are correct and same as demanded in heaty config .I assume my approach here to get help was not really productive … I’ll change my approach for the next post.

But just a general question …if attributes and operation modes fit to heaty then there shouldn’t be any issue normally right? I was just wondering as this is the Xiaomi ir blaster climate component.

There are several things that have to be right in order for Heaty to work as intended, last but not least the schedule. Without a log with debug: true in the Heaty config I can’t say anything. Maybe you want to check the log yourself first? It’s likely there are warnings and hints generated by Heaty that tell you what to look at.

Yeah, the first one is a bug. Remove the empty

I’m sorry if I misunderstand here the need of config details. I let everything standard. I did not change anything to adapt operation mode. please find below the config:

Your climate entity definitely has neither a operation_mode nor a operation_list attribute. BTW, I don’t know what the customize.yaml entries you posted should tell me. You need to configure your thermostats first so that they work and have all needed attributes, then set up Heaty.

I can use this component like generic ac component. So operation mode set temperature etc is there.

I use it with my automations for the moment.
