Help with Google Home

Hello There,

I just bough a Google Home Mini and I would like to use it as an Radio-Alarm-Clock (Using Google Home for setting up a radio alarm). Do I also need an Raspberry Pi for configuring it or can I do it directly on the Google Home Mini? Which image (https://home-assistant.io/hassio/installation/) should I download in this case?

  1. Google Home (and Mini) already support alarm clock. Just say Hey Google, set an alarm for 7 AM
  2. If might only need IFTTT to trigger radio after/during an alarm
  3. If you did want to do it the way in the link you mentioned, then of course, you would need to set up Home Assistant. You don’t need a Raspberry Pi, as you can install it on Windows, Mac, and most Linux distros.
