Help with Raspberry PI 5 trubleshooting

Hi,

I was using rpi5 for home assistant with microSD without any problems, but I wanted to upgrade to an SSD and bought a HAT SSD POE+ (GeeekPi P33 M.2 NVME M-Key PoE+).

I mounted and tried booting without SSD to test the POE part.

The RPI5 boots, the LEDs light up properly, the fan runs, but there is no video signal. My TV sees the connected device, but nothing appears and Home assistant does not come back online.
I have tried many times to assemble and disassemble (the pci connector is not easy, but I have experience and I am pretty sure it is connected correctly).

I started to think that the HAT was defective, so I removed it and reassembled everything as it was before… Again no signal, so now I have no usable rpi5.
What could have happened?

Other information:

  • I don’t have any other cables or even another mini-HDMI device to try, but the cable always worked until I disassembled the rpi5 and in each cable if the problem was the video signal anyway Home Assistant should be back up and running on the network.
  • I have NEVER booted with POE and USB-C at the same time(I was worried because I read earlier that it can fry something).
  • I have only booted once with the pci connector reversed (I had not read that it only works one way)

Any ideas? What could I have broken? How can I do trubleshooting?
