What version of chrome browser did you install? I can’t go higher then 96 I believe, since android 5 is not supported anymore… Also it’s terrible slow…
I was thinking to install openhab on it instead, much faster, and works quite well…

Btw. Did you buy it recently? Because that’s the old version, that one is End of life…
There is a newer version out, running android 10
You need to install older version of Chrome which is less than 100Mb size
you can search on google “chrome apk old version”
Yeah, i installed chrome 96, but it’s too slow
The new 9510 series is better, I just installed HA.apk on it, runs “normal”
Friday I received DS-KH9510-WTE1 (1st Gen) when I try to run Home Assistant apk it stuck at Initializing prompt and nothing else happens. Also I try to load HUE apk but the version 3.48.3 (file size 20K) since from version 4.0 the application size increase from 20K to 185K!!! but although it says that it load successfully does note even appear in the screen .
The 1st gen indoor station only supports two APPs. The storage of the APP you intent to install should be less than 150 MB. The flash memory resources should be less than 300 MB.
Tomorrow I will send it back in order to be replaced with the 2nd generation DS-KH9510-WTE1 (b)
@pergola.fabio do you know how the 8 alarm inputs are triggered? With ground? does they need pull down resistor? or what? I can’t find any information on the web
no idea, i dont use those alarm inputs
about first gen, indeed HA doesnt work on it, webview is not supported anymore on android 5
too old
The new B series, HA.apk app works, but dont expect it to run smooth
I was setting up an openhab system, to control some of my lights on it, gonna make a new dashboard
Also B series allow 2 apps, but there is an option to launch native android
you can also install EZ explorer on it, transfer apk with that app and install unllimited apps on it
Hi Fabio,
I’ve the same device (B version), and HA installed on it. A bit slow…
Could you explain how you manage to launch the native android on this tablet ?
Thanks.
Yes, make sure to update to newer firmware, it’s not possible in stock… Then there is a new option in the advanced settings… “Boot on to android”
But remember, if you don’t load the hik launcher afterwards, you won’t receive calls
Hello.
On DS-KH6320 has anyone managed to install any apps? for space it seems unlikely even though the first minimal HA app is less than 10MB.
I think only 93 or 95 series allow APK, but even if you succeed , it won’t work those old tablets don’t run WebView, and it’s needed for HA…
I have the 95 rev B, there it works, but it’s slow, that 95 series runs android 10
Hi @pergola.fabio
Sorry to bother. How do you have upgraded the firmware in the 9x10(B) series?
From here: Firmware - Download - Hikvision i can only download an .img file that doesn’t work as upgradeable file (using IVMS to upgrade).
Thanks.
indeed, no idea why Hikvision placed the .imf file there, that file is only for RS232 upgrades, not with ivms
I download from here:
Hey all!
I have the version with Android 5, I bought it a year ago. Installed HA apk, but it just freezing on login page.
Can someone share video how is working HA on the new version with Android 10? I mean the speed of application.
Don’t bother, it’s still slow and not usable on the android 10 version…
I was thinking setting up openhab for a few basic entities I want to use… openhab client works quite good on it, even on the old android 5…
With Matt you can sync states between HA and openhab
Hello, with DS-KH9510-WTE1(B) it’s slow ?
Yes, still slow
Have you tried exporting the Hikvision App/APK off the 9510 and running it on a more powerful tablet?
yes, didnt work, doesnt start
The apk also grabs some serial stuff from the hardware itself, its also a dedicated resolution
Its also a complete launcher
I thought that might be the case as the hardware is custom
Thanks for letting me know
