Another solution armbian?
Plenty of options, but none on a 16MB flash / 64MB RAM router, Iâm sure.

Better than Rapsberry Pi, a low budget solution?

What is your goal, this is not clear.
The first option definitely will not work (if thatâs what you want)
Number 2 is intended for what you have linked to: âInstructions on how to integrate OpenWrt routers into Home Assistant.â
Your last link is actually for installing HA on OpenWrt but have you seen the system requirements!?
Also, that type of install is not supported and I think that running it that way might be difficult to upgrade to newer versions.
If this is what you want: use for a production system, I would advise you to look for instance for a second hand thinclient, they come cheap.
My goal, search a low budget hardware solution for HAOS.
The OpenWRT HOAS TP-Link 1043 System isnât a good solution, it doesnât work.
New âlow budget systemsâ are Raspberry Pi 4 or Odroid N2+ (officially promoted in the past by the founders of HA)
The problem: Raspberry Piâs are not easy to get AND itâs not advised to run them off SD-cards, so you have to add other hardware to make them reliable.
Second hand systems: an obsolete laptop (with the benefit of having the battery) or a thin client.
Have a look in the forum here: you will find ample of threads regarding the right hardware.

This set-top box from AliExpress runs Android, not any kind of linux you could install HA on.
As you donât seem to be very experienced in the field, I strongly suggest you use supported hardware as outlined in
You know the saying: âYou pay peanuts, you get monkeysâ?
This installation method has very strict requirements, for example, it only supports Debian (and Ubuntu, Armbian , Raspberry Pi OS are not supported). So, make sure you understand the requirements from step 1 above.

Iâm fairly sure this has to be:
it only supports Debian (and Ubuntu).
Armbian, Raspberry Pi OS are not supported).
Given the knowledge you seem to have (could be wrong), be prepared to have a really adventurous experience getting HA running AND keep it running/up-to-date.
If your budget is that low and you seemingly ignore advice, maybe this (HA) is not for you.
In case you also have no devices yet, that will also be a real challenge.
Have you noticed that itâs almost always the same guy giving feedback on that box you linked to!?
Over and out!
