I was away on vacation and finally got around to updating to the latest version of OS 9.0 and Home Assistant. After the upgrade I find that “/dev/ttyUSB0” is not found for my Monoprice Amp configuration.
Looking at the Hardware config under Home Assistant this is what I get;
I plugged the USB to Serial adapter into a raspberry pi to test it and it does appear when I type the command LSUSB.
Any ideas how to debug this issue?
Thanks
I just had the same exact problem you are describing, but with my USB Z-wave stick. I’m running Home Assistant in a VM. I shut it down and when it restarted, /dev/ttyUSB0 was back.
I did shut it down several times but didn’t help. What I found was that the USB ports are no longer powered. Did this by testing with a USB Mouse that has the LED light. Plugged that into a PI and it lights up, not so with the Blue. Found out from a thread that this is a problem with the board itself where this can fail.
Did you manage to fix this issue?
No, I order anther board to replace it. Looks like this is a problem in general All USB Ports died on HomeAssistant Blue (ODROID-N2+)
