@nickrout do you have any idea please? I find motioneye very powerful but the capacity of my hardware (raspberry pi 4) isn’t enough to leverage the full quality of one outdoor security camera. And my goal is to have three of them… Shall I buy a more powerful hardware or buying an NVR would enable me to analyse the motion on the three cameras, store high quality photos and videos locally, compress videos and send them via Telegram and store high quality photos in Google Drive?
Yes you need better hardware. I would get a mini PC like a nuc, and a coral ai and use frigate.
Ok thanks @nickrout. So a RPi4 with a coral USB and frigate won’t work? I wish I didn’t have to change hardware ^^

Is there any alternatives for this integration? don’t know why, but cant get some cameras working others stop working when I add new cameras, seems like addons doesn’t work reliably, in addition there is 5 to 15 second delay and no audio.
This is not possible with motion eye.
It does not support sound.

I’ve just installed MotionEye (ME) addon and ME integration. I’ve checked “Configure motionEye webhooks to report events to Home Assistant” button in ME integration settings, but no ME events are appeared in Home Assistant. What’s wrong? Should I configure anything else?
Looks like this addon was recently updated. I am having trouble finding the notes on whats changed. Dont suppose it incorporates google coral?
Hi, Runing an imou cue2 using WiFi. I can see the main rtsp stream on VLC with 25fps and 1080p.
Then i add it without problem to HA and motion eye, the problem is that I’m receiving max 5fps on motioneye. I checked all the settings and nothing seems wrong
Running HA on proxmox with 6gb ram and 4 cores, so it’s not a capacity problem.
Is there another place to change configs or a way to do a debug and found the problem?

Hi there; just wanted to point out that there are a few leftovers after uninstalling the addon (and service); i uninstalled the add-on using the frontend (both in the addon frontend, and in the configured services), and restarted HA (fully, not just a YAML reload).
After this, i see the following leftovers:

I’m having an issue where motionEye motion detection only works with “Motion Triggered” Recording Mode.
With Recording Mode set to Continuous and Motion Detection active my webhook call is not being made. When only changing the Recording Mode it works
I would like to be able to set a mask for the motion detection to be used for a sensor trigger, and also have events outside that mask recorded

I’ve installed and configured the add-on and it is working really smooth with 4 cameras and motion detection.
The files are stored in my NAS using a network share.
It is correctly configured and the files are saved without issue.
Since I’ve started using MotionEye I’m having a lot of logs about “cifs vfs bad security option ntlm”, I’ve correctly set the SMB protocol version to 3 and my share is set to use min 1 max 3.
Looking on the forum it seems this errors it is connected to NTLM was removed from the kernel post 5.15 and the add-on is trying to use NTLM for the CIFS mounts.
Any clue on how to solve this issue?
