hello is anyone there?
Did you get it to work? You need to setup port forwarding on your router.
I cant figure out how to get plex amp to work, when i log into the app it just says no servers found.
Did anyone discover a way yet to update the plex server addon. Keep getting the notification from Plex that there is an update but haven’t been able to find how to actually install the update.
You need to wait for the Add-On to be updated. It is not maintained by PLEX themselves.
Hello Franck,
I am running plex now and is working ok, but it’s IP (172.x.x.x) is different from my private network (192.168.x.x), based on what I could find is because the add on is running with the container IP which is different that the private network.
Since this is an add on, I can’t find a way to change it from bridge to host network, so that Plex identifies my private network as it’s own local network.
Any ideas?
There is apparently a security hole in the last PlexMedia server releases.
Dear Plex user,
We recently received a report via our bug bounty program that there was a potential security issue affecting Plex Media Server versions 1.41.7.x to 1.42.0.x. Thanks to that user, we were able to address the issue, release an updated version of the server, and continue to improve our security and defenses.
Which was fixed/updated in Add-on version 3.7.0 .
Apparently, I found a solution that works, but the caveat is that it would require a Plex Pass.
What I do is to add all the IP addresses from my Plex clients to the Server Settings → Network → LAN networks.
