Home Assistant Yellow out of the box and running into problems

Dear HA colleagues,

I purchased HA Yellow with zero experience in the Raspberry Pi field. I assembled the kit, flashed the USB drive, all according to the instructions on the official webpage.

I followed the tutorial steps to a T, but I’m seeing some weird behavior of the unit during installation. I’m stuck at step 9, maybe 10. I am experiencing strange LED flashing behavior, which you can see here:

P.S. I also tried following this alternative with USB-c reinstalling the OS, but without success.

homeassistant local on 8123 is not accessible.

Also, to make things worse, I’m partially color blind (red-green), so there is an additional issue there .

I thank you for every comment in advance. I just hope the problem is not related to HW issue…

Matt,
I am not experienced with HA Yellow…so factor that into my response.

I see your red LED is on, indicating the board is powered. The green is flashing, but no yellow LED shows up, so the board is not running properly.

One of the later steps in the setup says you must unplug everything and restart, and then you will get the sign-on screen. Have you done that yet? Perhaps the installation is just not complete.

Could you specify your hardware set up…looks like you have the board powered by POE. I see you have something connected to a USB…is that a SSD with the OS flashed on it?

Hello,

The USB is USB thumb drive with image on it. I have CM4 , HA is POE powered.
I am following standard procedure described in tutorial.

Have no clue what the issue is.
