Home Assistant Yellow use built in Zigbee or keep Sonoff Dongle

I just migrated my Home Assistant from a RPi4 to a Home Assistant Yellow.

Currnently I have about 30 or so Zigbee devices connected via a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 Dongle connected via Zigbee2MQTT

But was wondering does it make sense to stop using the dongle and use the Zigbee that is built into the Home Assistant yellow?

I have my sonoff dongle connected to a 6ft. USB extender and running outside of my rack so it would be nice to get rid of that clutter.

I know I will have to re-pair all of the devices to the new zigbee module.

I would suggest keep using your existing Sonoff ZBDongle-P as a dedicated Zigbee Coordinator because CC2652P based dongles are recommended for Zigbee2MQTT, see → Zigbee buyer's guide

And then just use the Home Assistant Yellow onboard EFR32MG21 radio as dedicated Thread Border Router (with multiprotocol support disabled and flashed with OpenThread RCP firmware), see → Documentation – Home Assistant Yellow
