I was wondering if there are any good home intercom solutions for use with Home Assistant that are easy to use (once properly configured). Not looking at doorbell intercom, specifically (although that may be something I want to integrate), but more specifically, I want to use room to room intercom functionality. One non-HA integrated intercom we are looking at is the IST i2000, but it’s pricy, big, and looks like an old intercom painted white.
I don’t need (or want) video in the bedrooms for privacy reasons, but would need the ability to mute certain rooms (like my office or nursery). Can be wired setup (have to run Cat 6 throughout the house for another project), so now is the time to do this.
Any suggestions or leads? I saw this thread, but wouldn’t know how to add or cleanup
