How can my Kindle 7gen works with HA

Hi Folks,
Did anyone tried to use your kindle 7gen to access to your HA? my kindle has not in use for a long time, I thought my kindle can come back to grind, but it was not work for home assistant, anyone has the experiences about that? thanks.

Any software updates? Does it have a modern web browser you can use in kiosk mode?

Thanks @IOT7712 ， it didn’t checked out any software updates, it only has an experimental browser, maybe I should hack a new software to it, but I didn’t found any.

Sadly I suspect a locked in ten year old Amazon device running a cut down version of Linux with no recent updates is not going to cut it.
What version is your browser? Is it compatible with HomeAssistant minimum requirements list?

yeah, I guess maybe the kindle I have is too old, it can’t even run a robust browser, I think I should get an Ipad anyway.

Thanks, I think I can give it a shot, if it still not work, I will go to get an Ipad.

Check which versions are compatible before your go on a purchase spree.
