How do I install the qemu-guest-agent on haos_generic-x86-64 qcow VM running on unRAID?

Hello. I’ve been running HA for awhile on unRAID, but I’ve noticed that the qemu-guest-agent is not running, or otherwise not available to my host system unRAID. I originally installed the VM using the installation guide found on this forum, but it omits any step related to installing or configuring the qemu agent. When I google the question I see solutions for proxmox, but nothing for unRAID. Am I missing something?

Is the qemu-guest-agent only available in the aarch/ARM qcow2 images? I can’t run this my host, but I can run haos_generic-x86-64.

Install Home Assistant as a VM on Unraid

I haven’t had any luck running the qcow2 image. In @DrMor’s post they suggest avoiding the aarch release, but in the GitHub Releases page there is only one qcow image haos_generic-aarch64-13.1.qcow2.xz as of the date of this post. I can’t get past the UEFI prompt in unRAID with this image, but I can with haos_generic-x86-64-13.1.img.xz. The problem is that it doesn’t include the qemu-guest-agent which makes it impossible to shutdown the VM from the host system.

I was trying to use the wrong release (aarch/arm64). I didn’t see the releases for other architectures becaues you have to expand a list to see them on the GitHub releases page Show all n assets...
