How to check if update server is working/contacting correctly

when it rains, it pours…

I’m still fighting with my nest issues decided to make an update, maybe it will help (normally I’m holding the updates until all my problems are cleared, just to make sure that if new version fails - it fails not because earlier problems ;))

…aaand that’s it. I can’t update from 0.64.3 to 0.65.3. don’t know wny.

  • tried dashboard method - hassio thinks, then reboots and no update is done
  • tried ssh method (regular update command, and also tried the “curl…” like with downgrading) - also without success

I’ve noticed that my host version is 1.1 while 1.3 is available, so tried to update this too - and without success.

no errors in the log that could point me to this behaviour.
I even turned off 99% of my configuration to make sure no component/script is blocking the update: NOTHING WORKS.

is there any possibility that the update server isn’t up or my connection with the server fails? how can I check it?

Me too, tried to Update and Reboot. Still running 1.1… :frowning:

I’m close to thinking about formatting my memory card & installing from scratch… but I did it just couple of days ago, and TBH reinstall can’t be an answer for everything, so I’m trying to avoid that if possible

I’m on 1.2 but pressing the update button from UI or hassio ho update in console just hangs the rpi.

Power cycle raspberry pi and it’s back at 1.2

I guess I won’t press it too hard to update then.

I hit the UPDATE button in the UI once more, tried to be patient and now its running 1.3. So far so good.
