How to do Restore and Backup on OVA based Installation?

Hi all,

as my current .OVA deployment broke down after an ungracefull shutdown it looks like I have to perform a restore.

I took backups recently through the GUI every time before an upgrade was done. So there are enough backups available. In theory.

In practice the backups where obviously stored locally on the disk on the hypervisor. Now before starting a fresh install and restore the data/ configuration I need to get hands on the backup files.

So my question: How can I access the backup files on the machine? The VM itself is up and running but how can I acces the command line (sshd is not enabled on this image).

Any hints how to get my backup files?

Update
Meanwhile, I managed to be on the console (open remote virtual screen and type “login”).

I do not see any folder named /backup nor /mnt/backup. Anyone an idea for which files to look for?

Oh, and I know a backup should be taken off-site. Unfortunately the Samba-backup never ran reliable :frowning:
