How to flash any tuya YX-WS01 smart plug (when tuya-convert doesnt work...)

I wrote an article about how to flash any tuya YX-WS01 (amysen, esicoo, others)

Tuya-convert doesn’t work anymore for this devices, so I had to open it up, trace the circuit and solder cables to flash. I didn’t see any guide for these devices online, it may help someone.

This is my first contribution, please let me know if I made a mistake posting here :slight_smile:

Nice guide, I had to do something similar with a Tuya plug that didn’t work with tuya convert.

It was tricky but worth it. :slight_smile:

You took the time to write it up, so I’ll take a moment to tell you that the correct terms would be either:
“this plug” or
“these plugs”

Is there any update on this process? I received 4 if these plugs as a gift, but when looking at your link some of the links don’t go anywhere (such as the ones under tuya convert update). In case I got lucky with old firmware I’ll try the tuya convert process though.

Also, can flashing be done without soldering? I’ve never soldered before and would like to learn but maybe not on these so i don’t destroy them haha.
