Hunter Hydrawise Sprinkler System Integration

@zebrahosting

did you found a solution for this? I have also added the same information to my yaml config but also do not see an sensor or switch have been created in HA :slightly_frowning_face:

Team, Is there a way to turn off the system easily? I have a cistern meter and want to use the meter to trigger a turn the sprinkler off before it runs me completely dry. Only thing I can think of is have the automation to set the automatic and manual zone switches for ALL zones to off if the meter triggers an event?

I don’t see some sort of master switch? Thoughts?

Hey, great work. I am definitely interested.

Hi all. I have integrated Hunter with my HA and from i dont know which time my hunter is online but in HA status binary sensor show that device is offline. Other sensors and switches from integration show me ok ands works ok. Anybody help me ?

@pepeEL i have same problem. The online cloud binary stopped working some months ago. I have also found that the rest of the sensors become unavailable on a regular basis. I forced a API key update a few times. No idea. I might investigate NodeRed Hydrawise integration

Hi !

I have a problem too with the integration. Is there any way to shut down a zone manually? I want to switch back my summer lawn leaf protect automation (1 min watering near noon time when the daily average air temperature conditions are passed). This automation worked OK last season, manual watering for every zone, switches kept on until the zone was turned on, I was able to shut down with a switch command.
Now it didnt works, when i start a manual watering in a specific zone, the swich immediately turns off, and the watering keeps on until I choose an other zone to start or the watering time is passed.
Only problem, watering time need to be set to predefined values and 5min is the lowest …
Any way to make my automation work again?

HA integration looks as though it is close to be updated to use the alternative, and possibly better, Hydrawise API. You can read about the alternative API on the Hydrawise web site. And follow other discussions on GitHub

Well that’s great news!
Would be great to have the updated version :man_dancing:

I see node red also allows access to the Hydrawise api. I suspect that they are using the “better” API but I haven’t tested

Hey team! I have two 12-zone expansion modules on my Hydrawise controller giving me a total of 36 available zones on one controller. The HA integration is only pulling the first 12 zones and nothing else. Any idea on how to make HA see the zones on the expansion modules? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That has been asked a few times already on this thread and GitHub. From memory I have not seen a positive response albeit the Hydrawise API allows multiple controller details.

Is the “local sensor” part shown here still applicable? I’ve read more recent posts saying there is no way to connect locally to Hunter controllers - only through the cloud.

correct. You can set up a HA sensor to ping the device to show it is “alive” but that is it. This is a cloud based integration. Hence why it can be a bit laggy and there are limits on the number of API calls. You will also see that there are discussions around possibly amending the HA integtration to the alternative hydrawise integration… which holds the promise of being better!

Yeah I was just reading the link you posted - sounds great

Of course we purchase the Hydrawise cloud smart system; it is very good if your local weather stations are accurate.

However, if you want to take back all control to local then you we all should have bought the x-core. Anyway, lets play and see what happens with this integration during this year.

i don´t find this sensor, can you help?

How you create this menu step by step from begin…?

I copy the yaml, then create the select helper and the nodered flows.

I’ve noticed a lot of recent commits on GitHub. Is the new API approach now active?

Where you see this changes ?
