As of 2024.7, the iAquaLink integration presents every entity in its own device (1:1). This results in a less streamlined presentation that is inconsistent with most other integrations and not in line with HA dev guidelines. Please update the integration to group entities under their parent devices.
If that is indeed the case, to me this sounds like it should be an issue, not a feature request.

I don’t know, but they seem pretty opposed to submitting non-bugs through the bug reporting process.
I hear you, but if you document it well and explain that there is a feature parity problem where here this works like this and there it works like that you could be successful.
The code owner is listed in the official docs for the integration, perhaps asking them up front might help.
I’m not a Dev or anything, but you sound like you have a good case if you document it well.
