I have created an Blueprint automation for the Ikea Bilresa Scrollwheel button.
Right now it is only in German, if someone needs it I can translate it too.
Group 1 and 2 are for controlling lights, whereas Group 3 can controll covers too.
Hold and Release functionality still has some problems
Code can be seen at GitHub - fangathome/ikea_bilresa_scrollwheel: Automation blueprint for the Ikea Bilresa scroll wheel center button
Perfect timing, just got the Bilresa with the scrollwheel yesterday. Works much better than my crude first attempt at using separate automations. Here’s however some feedback after testing:
- If possible maybe use
MultiPressOngoingfor a faster response like mentioned here - I would prefer to have the dimmer always use the last brightness instead of setting a percent value when scrolling to turn the light on
- When changing direction mid scroll the brightness seems to flicker (this would likely be fixed by using
MultiPressOngoingtoo - When “overshooting” (scrolling what would be more than 100% brightness) dimming is ignored
I don’t have the time to work on this myself tho so feel free to ignore everything I wrote :)
I really appreciate the effort already
Super! Can we got English version?
Hi! I have the issue that the scrolling has a very high latency and sometimes does not work at all. Do you also experience this issue?
Thanks!
@darathor I have a PR open on his repo for the english version, you can import it from there if you want the english one early.
@Laess3r This is due to the current matter integration missing the multi_press_ongoing event, it only sends a multi_press_x event after you stop scrolling. It’s possible to implement this through a custom version of the matter integration, but then you stop receiving updates.
Looks like a PR is open to fix this: Pass information for ongoing press events in Matter by phoffmeister · Pull Request #159045 · home-assistant/core · GitHub
Same problem here, connected through slzb-06mu with POE ethernet
