It seems that people have raised this topic several times and they’ve been told to create a feature request instead. So, I am doing just that.
Can we please have HA Integration support for the Dirigera hub? Thank you!
And, yes, I know it works via HomeKit Controller but that has 2 key disadvantages:
The HomeKit integration is slow as hell (I press my Aqara switch and I have to wait more than 5 seconds for my Ikea lights to turn on (both connected to Home Assistant via HomeKit).
Only HomeKit compatible devices show up in Home Assistant via HomeKit.
I hope people will support and vote for this feature. Thank you!
I kinda gave up and just bought the Skyconnect. Now I have Thread as well and I can use matter. Not like Ikea promised and didnt deliver on the Dirigera
I have skyconnect but it’s sitting in my drawer.
It can only be used with ZHA and this has been very unreliable for me: devices constantly dropping out and drove me crazy! I have mostly Aqara sensors & switches and IKEA lights. A lot of them: approx. 150 devices in total.
So, I am using the Aqara M2 Hub and the Dirigera Hub respectively and they are both connected to my Home Assistant via HomeKit controller. The problem with reliability was solved.
Unfortunately, I have 2 new problems with this:
Slow response times
Some key features are not supported, e.g. my Aqara plugs are all just useless switches in HA, (since HomeKit does not support energy measurement)
So, I just wish that HA could have native integration with these two hugely popular brands.
But no such luck so far.
