I have successfully set up a system with a Conbee II. Excellent, so
I bought a number of inspelning switches that also provide power and energy data. They all work perfectly and provide correcrt power data at frequent intervals.
Then I built a second system with a Sonoff P dongle as the coordinator
Everything works well, but not the inspelning power reading. On some I get correct power reading but it updates very slowly and often drops out to zero
On others I get completely wrong values, like 114 watt for a 1200 watt heater.
Rather mysterous. Can the model of coordinator influence the data the Inspelning sends? Or is there a setting somewhere to enable correct readings?
You are not alone: I’m experiencing the same issues and also many others do, and also many more issues:
When the power is above 1000 W, the power value is scaled down by a factor of 10. That a quirk of the Ikea product, which is dynamically updating the scaling factor. In 2024 this has been detected and a solution integrated in HA. Today it seems to be broken again. (link to old issue)
On startup, the data is not refreshed until you “reconfigure” in the device’s page
The energy consumed data is only updated once
The refresh rate of the device is low
This is all happening only for devices added recently (in my case today) and does not happen to devices that were already installed before a certain upgrade of Home Assistant.
