Thanks Netpoet.
Thatās great to hear. Hopefully theyāll find a resolution soon, as they say it has been prioritised 27 days ago.
At my end, it is frustrating as I use Command strips to put them on the wall, so need to keep taking them down and replacing them, just to get them to work.
Iām afraid to update the firmware on any of my IKEA items now.
I donāt have a notification, possibly because all of my Styrbarās are sleeping at the moment.
I woke one of them up, but itās not getting any notification. Iāve hit the ācheck for updateā button a few times.
I think most of mine are on 0x0204001:
Firmware version: 2.4.11
Where can I see what version is being suggested as an update? One of mine is still on old firmware, so Iām not going to update until we have a confirmed fix.
Thanks Seano.
Iām trying to get mine to update, but it hasnāt found the update yet for the one Iām testing on.
Iāll have to take a few more down and wake them up and try them also.
z2m: No update available for āPlayroom switchā
Same issue here. Everything was great until I upgraded. None of the workarounds listed above work for me. The remote goes offline after a random number of days and the only fix is to pull the batteries for a few seconds.
When a new firmware is released, do you guys update via Z2M ota? Or is there a better method?
Hi John,
Unfortunately mine is still telling me there is no update, or else is falling asleep before I can check.
Iām attempting to update via Z2M.
Donāt know if there is a better method.
I have the same issue.
Iāve checked Ikea thread and should be available the fw 2.4.16 that should solve the issue.
The problem appears that the update only appears on IKEA Hub.
Need help to check why Zigbee2Mqtt cannot find the upgrade available? Can it be done manually?
In case this helps anyone:
The updates to 2.4.16 have started to pop up for at least two of my eight Styrbars this morning. I have updated one of them successfully so far. The dropouts used to happen after at least a few days for me, so itās too early to tell whether the update fixes the problem. Fingers crossed.
I have upgraded my Styrbars to 2.4.16.
It indeed seems to have solved the buttons issue (I prefer to let one or two weeks pass to confirm), but they now seem to have lost the ability to bind to groups. Anyone has been able to do that?
I went and bought the Dirigera hub from IKEA, updated one switch and it seemed to be good, but then I was away for a while and now I see that HA is able to update them. Bit of a waste. Thankfully all seem to be updated now, so will have to give it a few days to see if its all ok.
