The aquatemp implementation is currently not working because the cloud service SSL certificate expired last night. I have sent them a message…hopefully resolved soon!
Tried to install the integration but get no devices or entities added in HA. Do I need to do something else to get to happen? Or could it be that the SSL cert is still an issue? Looking in the debug logs it looks like it is connecting to the service and fetch basic user info but nothing else.
Using HA on proxmox, with latest version (3.0.10) of aqua temp integration via HACS
I think there may be general issue in logging in. I have lost access to the app as it doesn’t recognise me. I am not sure but think this may be a wider problem. I also assume it should be possible to log in here Go Heating Iot Platform but I am also unable to do that.
My Aqua Temp iOS app is working fine so the API seams to be ok. And according to the logs the integration logs in and fetches my user details (username, id etc) but nothing else. I would have thought the HA integration added the entities directly but I´m probably missing something in the setup - just don´t know what.
Logged out of the app and now can´t log back in. So now nothing works. Really instable API it seams - wish there could be a local service not dependent on the cloud solution.
Yes I think this must be a more general problem. Glad it’s not just me. Glad it’s not just me.
We must start sniffing the RS485 bus between the wifi module and the heat pump. If we could get a log of it during start-up and remote control operations we could probably start communicating directly on RS485. I don’t have a wifi module for my unit otherwise I would do it myself. I do have a USB to RS485 and I have attempted to monitor the bus but see nothing, it appears it needs to be initialised in some way.
As I understand it the proper modbus port is actually CN13 on the PC1004 board (something about the communication with the display and wifi module being a custom/unknown protocol) and I got a list of all the addresses/registers used. But haven´t tried to connect to the port yet.
HI Dajel, Can you please provide me with the list of all the addresses/registers used please? Or let me know where to find them, please. In my system, it appears there is some customer comms between the onboard screen and the unit however the wifi dongle connects to RS485. I also noticed a connector on the on board screen labelled RS485. Thanks
THis may or Not be useful:
I hope your Home automation has the RS485 communication port.
Please find the manufacturer’s response.

Our engineer said that we only can offer the 485 communication protocol and the 485 port for connection with your device. But about how to use your device program to control out unit, you will know it ?. “” Please find the below excel sheet for the 485 communication protocol.
From my side I have attached a self drawn image showing the connection so that you could get a much more clear idea of the same.
While doing so please go to settings enter the code 066 and change the parameter H37 to 50. I will attach the images for the same as well.
• Press on the Settings icon on the screen, number pad will be displayed
• Enter the password 066 and tap on the Enter icon, System Parameters will be displayed
• Tap on the next arrow till it reach parameter H37, tap on the Unit address, number pad will be shown
• Enter 50 and tap on the enter icon
• Tap on the back arrow at the left top of the screen to go back to the normal screen
ENTER CODE 066
GOTO PARAMETER H37
CLICK ON H37 SO THAT YOU CAN EDIT THE VALUE TO 50
I also have a spreadsheet of the communication protocol. Please PM and I will send it.
Thanks davidtja,
New to the forum so can´t find a DM feature and can´t attach docs but here is the protocol doc I got. If you can share yours as well that would be great.
Thanks. By the first look it seams to be the same as my scanned pdf I got from the distributor.
Yeah pretty sure it’d be same info.
Hi @qwackers ,
Have you still got this running with your evoheat heat pump hotwater system?
I recently had an evo270-1 installed and would like to get this working with HA but the HiTemp app doesn’t appear to be available anymore, and I can’t seem to locate a wifi module. Any suggestions?
@TravCorp yes 100% I use it, regarding the WiFi module for EVO270-1 is optional extra and not delivered by default sadly.
Thanks @qwackers. Do you know where you can purchase the wifi module? The HiTemp app isn’t in the app store. Is Handy Heat Pump the new version do you know?
All good @qwackers. I’ve found the app. Just trying to track down the wifi module. No one has them in stock. Thanks anyway.
@TravCorp I went to EvoHeat in QLD who shipped it direct to me It’s a very straight forward connection but depending on your WiFi strength I had to add (read hack) an external aerial to the unit to get the reception and then mounted it inside the cover.
Can you link the hack as I am having all sorts of issues and not sure what it is. I am connected to the APP again after totally losing connectivity, but now have no HA connection via original method, perhaps thats stopped working. Any advice help/testing ideas really appreciated and as im getting no responses.
