Integration of Shelly Temperature Sensor (Shelly BLU HT) in HA

Hi guys,
as I am adding more and more devices into HA I stumbled across another problem with Shelly BLU HT.
I have it on my Shelly Dashboard but can’t find it anywhere in HA.
Any idea why this device is not visible and any idea/trick to get this onbaorded?

Many thanks for your hints!

Rolf

Did you check BTHome integration?

Hi Bienu,

not sure what you mean? The temperature sensor is visible in the Shelly Application and I was under the impression that the sensors will be recognized in HomeAssistant from the ShellyCloud.
The temp sensors are too far away from my HomeAssistant base to be connected via BT to it.
Or what do you mean?
Thanks for your thoughts!

Home Assistant doesn’t support Shelly Cloud.

Shelly BLU devices (except BLU TRV) are supported by BTHome integration. You can use Shelly Gen2+ devices as BT proxy to extend coverage.

Hi Bienu,

iI have other Shelly devices already integrated with HA so I was surprised that the Shelly TempSensor doesn’t show up in the list of Shelly Items…
I have e.g. the outdoor sensor connected to the Shelly Wall Display which is also visisble in HA, but the entity Temp-Sensor is not in the list of entities I can connect from the Wall Display…

Please note as well that the temp.sensor shwon in the list is the internal temp-sensor of the Wall Display which is useless (I have connected another external Shelly BLU H&T) for the indoor measurements - but as mentioned above neither the indoor or outodoor temp-sensor are shown.

But may be my way to get the sensor onboarded is wrong…?
How did you integrate the sensors into HA?

Did you read documentation?

Ok - no I didn’t read that yet (wasn’t aware of this paper…)
Thanks for the hint - I will take a read and give it another try…

BTW - I understand you’re one of the “specialists” for integartion fo Shelly Devices into HA…
I actually do have another problem with a Shelly ProEM50 as well which I am struggling with - see this thread: Integration of Shelly ProEM50 into Homeassistant - YAML-scirpt does not work
The ProEM50 has to reading ports which I want to sum up to one reading…
The YAML-scirpt seem to work (I do not get any faliure reports or similar) but the “desired” entity doesn’t show up in the list of entities…

Maybe you might have a smart idea/hint to fix this as well?
I will now start reading the other paper you recomended!

In the meantime many thanks for your help and support!
