Introducing the Works with Home Assistant program

That’s only part of the deal.

For example:
I am a software developer, with no experience in the ZigBee standard.

I bought some Tuya switch modules. The all work great in Z2M. The one gang has been configured as lights easily. But I couldn’t get the two gang working. I asked in the community forum, I asked in the GitHub issue, I asked in the Z2M discord channels. I even checked out the code of Z2M and herdsman, but still couldn’t solve the issue.

It really seems I have to get it up and running and Devin what’s going on for a simple configuration. But my time is really limited. Hence, I can’t automate the lights since months.

That’s frustrating to be honest.

Anything Tuya should be labelled "often doesn’t work with HA "

I’m surprised that Shelly aren’t involved in the “Works with Home Assistant” program. Are their devices ineligible because they need a cloud account to initially set them up?

No Shelley device I have used required a cloud account at all.

It is a little deceptive with their new app, which I stopped using. I just go to the web UI of a device to set it up. Via the app, it will try to convince you to enable cloud, but you don’t have to.
