KNX - weather station vs. sensor?

I am a happy user of HA with my KNX installation. Recently I have added MDT Weather Station to it. I wasn’t aware I can add it as weather station so I did it normally as sensors. Now I am wondering if I would benefit in any way by rewriting it to weather station?

I’ll do it sooner or later for have clean config, but I’m wondering if there are any noticeable differences.

You can use both, there’s no downside to that.

The weather entity is mostly for a nice UI component vs. individual sensor entities can be configured more granularly and can therefore be a better fit for automations.
Some of the configurable attributes of the weather entity are used for internal calculations but are not available as entity attributes for automations etc. (e.g. brightness).

And if I saw it correctly, the individual attributes of the weather entities are not recorded in the history individually. So if I want to track the history of wind speed, I can only do this with an individual sensor set up additionally. Is this correct?
