LG Smartthinq Air Conditioning

Thats weird cant say ive seen that. Lemme know if you need to see my lovelace yaml or anything

You had the same main unit as me, yeah?

Outside-Unit Model: B55AWY U3G6
In-Roof Model: B55AWY N7G5A
In-Roof WiFi Dongle: PWFMDD201 (model LCW-005)
Indoor Control Panel: PREMTB001 / PREMTBB01

Mine is:

Outside-Unit Model: B55AWY U3G6
In-Roof Model: B55AWY N7G6
In-Roof WiFi Dongle: PWFMDD201 (model LCW-005)
Indoor Control Panel: PREMTB100 (this is NOT the controller I was supposed to get… but it still does zone control it seems) I should have gotten PREMTA000.

My aircon is now installed and functional. 8-zone zone controller is also working, and I have 7 zones wired up and connected. I can control each room individually via the LG app, but now want to try and get this working from within HA.

I will check the API responses and see if I can find a way to control zones.

Hi unfortunately, when I launch python3 script from wideq folder i get no reply :frowning:

UPDATE: Zone control has now been added for v1 and v2 devices that have zones.

Hello everyone, sorry on posting on older post.
Can someone tell me if integration works with the S12EQ climate (LG DUALCOOL (R32) DUAL Inverter 3,5 kW, tihi rad, samočišćenje sterilizacijom, elegantan | LG Hrvatska)

I have LG Airco (PC09SK+PC09SK+PC12SQ / MU3R21 → triple multi split) and I realy like it. I installed the LGE plugin in Home Assistant and all is working perfect accept … The Power Usage Sensor is always showing 0. (sensor.woonkamer_energy_current).
Can this be solved so I can measure the power consumption of the units ?

Thank god for this integration. The LG app is so tediously slow…

I just have one question though. Is anyone using Google home with homeassistant? I have all my devices set up to be available on my phone with G-Home integration. I have added the tile for my air conditioner and it works perfectly, however there is no ability to adjust fan speed. In HA, the device clearly has a fan speed control, but it does not appear to be brought into G-home.

Can somebody show/descripe which kind of actions you can do with the LG airconditioner connected by this integration? Is it only sensor based information, or can I e.g. shut down the airco or put it on when knowing I will be working home and turn on the heater/airconditioner on certain time?

You can fully control the Airco’s.Temp, airflow, mode, etc. It works perfect.

Anyone has bought LG airco in the Netherlands? Which model did you buy?

I’m looking for air-co right now, but I don’t know which brand and model to get, which can be integrated easily in home assistant. I want to be able to control, schedule, etc.

Currently, my choice is either Mitsubishi Heavy Industry (MHI) or LG. I read MHI can be controlled using ESPHome, but that can be a bit complicated for people like me

LG looks nice from here.

What I want is 3 inside units (5 kw, 2+ kw, 2+ kw) and 1 outside unit.

Please if you can share details of your LG airco, especially if you bought in the Netherlands.

Hi @HA_n00b

This is my setup - purchased in Australia- works great!

Outside-Unit Model: B55AWY U3G6
In-Roof Model: B55AWY N7G5A
Zone controller: PBZD80
Indoor Control Panel:
	○ upstairs: PREMTA000
	○ downstairs: PREMTB100
In-Roof Wi-Fi Dongle: PWFMDD201 (model LCW-005)

Looks like this in the end:

Mine will be installed in a couple of weeks. Will get the following setup:
Outside multi-split unit: LG MU3R19
Inside unit: 2 times: LG PM07SP.NSJ (2,1 kW)
Inside unit: 1 time: LG PM05SQ.NSJ (1,5 kW)

Very curious what I can do with home-assistant and LG. I will get solar panels in a couple of months, so I want the use the Airco in the rooms which will get hot at the end of the day, and already cool them down when the solar panels are on there peek of the performance.

Having same setup and same issue. I actually has single split LG unit and upgraded to multisplit (outside unit replacement; installed 2 new indoor unit 2,5kw and keep one indoor unit from previous setup). Even the previous indoor unit provided power consumtion, after the upgrade to multisplit it stopped.
My theory is, that this is technicaly not done on LG side. Because previously the power consumntion was available but once the same indoor unit get connected to multisplit system, it stop provide the info in HA and disapered from LG app.

Nope the problem you mentioned was stated in your manual: on multisplit the energy isn’t available. Even not on your remote itself. So that is probably the reason it isn’t working in the integration.

With my units i cant turn off the led info light with the integration. It works only with the remote controle.
I have this combination. Power consunption does not work also but this is because im using multisplit.
MU3R19.U21 Outdoor + PC09SK.NSJ + PC12SQ.NSJ

Did it work in the end?

Going with LG AC’s probably as well, and am curious to know if it will work (reliably). I assume we’ll get a device that uses API v2, so I hope this component has been made component. A coffee will certainly come your way @ollo69 , once the setup is successful

Cheers.

Hey, did you find out if it works?
