Linear NGDZ00-4 Garage Door w/ Hass.io

Howdy.

Has anyone gotten their garage door to work with Hass.io?

I have the Linear NGDZ00-4, seen here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M75TEIU/

I had it working once upon a time when I had a custom version of open-zwave compiled. I upgraded home-assistant and everything broke.

Rather than try to fix things the hard way, I simply reformatted and install Hass.io. The device is clearly detected, but it shows up as “Linear Unknown: type=4744, id=3530”.

How do I get Hass.io to treat this as a simple “cover”.

There is a thread about hacking up source that is somewhere over 250 replies long: Linear NGDZ00-4 Garage Door. I am not sure it’s applicable to Hass.io.

It’s applicable in that we still need openzwave support so it will work out of the box. Until then, hass.io is not a good way to do this.
