Lockly WiFi Hub

What lock are you using? According to the description, the SN of the lock MUST contain the letter N.
I was just about to order one when I checked the SN of my Secure Pro Latch, and there’s no N on mine.

Does it tell you whose fingerprint unlocked the door?

I have 3 Lockly locks and bought 2 of the Matter Links. I paired the Matter links replacing my old Secure Links and they work with the Lockly Home app. I added them to HA and can see the lock/unlock operations for all 3 but cannot lock or unlock any of them within HA.

Also the wireless door sensor on my Secure Lux Mortise reports to HA in real time, the other 2 Secure Plus units that have the builtin reed sensors don’t work at all, only one shows up in HA and is non-functional.

Mine just says ‘Was Unlocked’ in HA

Can you please confirm if your Secure Plus lock S/N contains the letter N?
Thanks!

Mine def both do and they show the locked status in real time in HA but no control.

Lockly and Matter. Cool… is this really working? thanks

"Lockly also unveiled its new backward-compatible Matter hub at CES, meaning older current Lockly devices will also be manageable in Apple Home for the first time, as well as enabling seamless integration with other Matter-supported platforms Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings.

As of this writing, we only know that the Lockly Matter hub will launch sometime this year for $79.99 and will be compatible with select models including Lockly Plus, Flex Touch, and Access Touch."

Does this mean if I have an older wifi capable Lockly like a Lockly Pro, I buy this new matter hub and it will work with my old Lockly? And thru that, I will also be able to get control of my Lockly Pro wifi via home assistant? thanks

Can someone who has this working explain their setup process. I can:

  1. Add the matter link via HA first, in which case it pairs and adds to HA fine, but doesn’t know about any locks so isn’t very useful
  2. Add the matter link via the Lockly app first, in which case it adds fine there, and can lock/unlock my door. But then I cannot work out how to add it to HA. If I say it’s not paired yet it won’t be able to connect to the link, and if I say it is paired it needs the sharing code which the lockly app doesn’t seem to have an option to generate.

So I have not worked out how to get paired with HA and lock control… yet. Any help appreciated.

I also have to add in the Lockly app as a “Secure Link Wifi Hub” since they don’t seem to have the matter link hub as an accessory yet, not sure if that matters.

Thanks!

For anyone stumbling on this, I figured it out.

  1. First pair using the Lockly App and make sure that’s working
  2. Reset the matter hub by unpluging, pluging, and holding the reset button until the light blinks
  3. Now add it as a new device in HA

It’ll stay paired with the lock via Bluetooth, but be properly set up for matter with HA.

Hi all,

Here’s an interesting update - I had previously set up the matter link with a Lockly Secure Lux mortise lock and it was half-working insofar as I could see the status of the lock in HA, but attempting to lock/unlock would fail.

I saw that there was a firmware update for my lock today that said:

  1. Optimized user experience
  2. Fixed some known issues

After updating the firmware on my secure lux, the lock/unlock functionality in Home Assistant started working without me having made any changes on the HA side.

The lock status will still take some time to sync when the lock auto-locks, but I haven’t looked too much into any tweaks on the HA side that might help mitigate that. At any rate, if HA thinks the lock is unlocked and I initiate a “lock” command after the lock has been auto-locked, the lock will stay locked and HA will then update the lock status to locked. It’s a minor inconvenience that means I just might have to tap the lock toggle one more time occasionally.

For anyone experiencing issues, check to see if your locks have any firmware updates.

Thank you for the update! This is good news to me and it sounds like I will be getting a PGH260 soon then. I have lights on and off automatically and it would be nice to know that my lock auto locks when I pass or a outside of a geofence without relying on their less than reliable cloud service to do so.

Got mine today and got it working with only about 1.5hrs of labor… I was just never sure when Android or Lockly was trying to add the device. Very confusing. Had problems connecting to WiFi, too, and the reset procedure was a bit odd. It’s not the normal “hold button while plugging it in” thing, it’s “plug it in, wait for red light to blink, THEN hold down the button”.

Thanks for the instructions, @nicklan – not sure I would have gotten it to work at all without that!

I can now unlock/lock my door from Home Assistant. :slightly_smiling_face:

When it auto-relocks, I don’t seem to get updated - it still shows the last Home Assistant known/set state. It does update, it just takes a couple of minutes.

I get no indications when someone unlocks or opens the door in Home Assistant, like I do in the Lockly app. I was really hoping for that.

The only new thing I get is the ability to unlock from Home Assistant.

Same here, I can lock/unlock from Home Assistant but the door lock status does not always update very quickly, and the door open/closed state never updates at all. Pretty disappointed by that. The matter link was not cheap, and is only marginally better than the old wifi secure link.

Any lock integration that cannot report which user is unlocking it, is useless.

Thank you so much for posting this (and to @nicklan)! The “wait until the red light blinks and then hold in the button” did the trick. I’ve got the Matter Link added to my HA and can lock and unlock from my HA app.

For reference, I have a Secure Pro whose serial number has FNG instead of W, but once I updated the firmware on the lock it worked with the Matter Link.
