I’m not sure what’s going on, but everytime I upgraded, something was not starting correctly…
This time, all my media player (chrome casts and google home) are not shown on the UI.
Not sure why the logs keep saying that it’s taking longer than usual… or something like that…
Anyone got any tips?
If the issue shows only for Cast devices, chances are the issue is indeed caused by an upgrade on the Google side. Reverting to 0.57 won’t help, but setting your devices via discovery could maybe temporarily fix the issue.
I’m not sure what it was, but I think I do have a block of code specified for each Chrome cast, here’s what I see in the log:
Nov 24 00:16:07 raspberrypi hass[8239]: 2017-11-24 00:16:07 ERROR (Thread-49) [pychromecast.socket_client] Failed to connect, retrying in 5.0s
Some how it cannot connect to the google home, or chrome cast…
I’ll try to revert back to “discovery” mode and see if that helps. Wait, maybe the IP address has changed? hmmm… never thought of that… let me check on that.
