I’m unable to use hardware acceleration on haos frigate addon and probably jellyfin addon because it seems that there are no drivers for amd on haos.

As it states in the pinned post in Feature Requests category, Addons, either new one or updates to existing ones like Frigate are not covered by Feature Requests here. You need to contact those contributors for help with those.

Hi, unfortunately it seems to be an haos request and not a frigate or jellyfin because drivers for amd and perhaps some others like nvidia couldn’t be used, i’m not expert in that but it is very domageable that we couldn’t run it by the limitation of a driver… so if i don’t ask by the good way, i’m sorry !!

I too would like to see mesa drivers added to haos. I run frigate as well, and it would be great if we could leverage the gpu to help. My CPU on windy days is near 100% even with motion masks. I’m currently running two USB coral edgetpus for detection.
