Midea AC latest integration

Hi Had midea Ac working fine with this in my /homeassistant/configuration.yaml

climate:
  - platform: midea_ac
    host: xxx.xxx.x.xxx
    id: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Updated to the latest 2025.1.2 core of Home assistant and the integration stopped working.
I read up and tried to install this integration

not much info, asks for the Host so I put the same one that I used in the Yaml
For port the default is 80 so I left as is.
I get a failed to connect. There isn’t much info or explanation anywhere.
Anybody have the same issue and figured it out?
Tried restoring a backup before 2025.0.1 and works great.
thanks

Anyone? need this to work again
thanks

Hi, i face thé same issue.
Idd you where able to solve it eventually?

And if yes, how?

Hi sorry the the best at helping in tech language or a complete how to . I did fix by going into hacs and downloading from there. The old version does not work any longer.
good luck

I use the more up-to-date HACS integration I’ve linked in a post here

The only thing I still can’t really get working is the fan speed attribute. I can control it, but it doesn’t update within HA.

Same problem here on Core 2025.4.4. ESPHome detected it, and of course web interface on the IP is working.

Are you using this?
