Migrating Environment to new RPI

Hi there.
Because I’m unable to upgrade my RPI 4 / HA 2024.10.0 to HA 2024.10.4 (the upgrade keeps on failing) I have installed HA 2024.10.4 on a new RPI 4.
Now I’m in the process of migrating all devices to the new RPI 4. The RPI 4 has his own Sonoff Zigbee USB Dongle E.

Please your advise.

Is it possible to connect the new RPI 4 to the same network and transfer all the device one by one (Wifi device and Zigbee devices) or is it not smart to connect the new RPI 4 to the same ip network as the old one.

Please your advice.

Create a full backup on the old system. Restore it on the new system. This will migrate everything.

Surely the question should be why are you unable to upgrade you original RPi?

If you don’t fix that just swapping to a different pi is not likely to allow upgrades.

Did try that (restoring full backup) but then the version is back to 2024.10.0 and the upgrade still not working. That’s why I want to start all from scratch. But I do not know if I create a problem if both RPI’s are on the same network.

Did ask advise in the forum why the upgrade is not working but no answer yet.
And it seems I’m not the only one with upgrade problems
