Migrating from Domiticz & Razberry card to HA

Hi all,

I’ve been using Domoticz with a Razberry card to control all my Z-Wave devices (Fibaro switches mostly) for the past year or so. Now I’m thinking HA looks like a better solution.

However, I’d like to know if I’ll have to re-register all my z-wave devices with the Razberry card, or is that all stored in the Razberry’s firmware and they’ll magically re-appear in HA? (OK, probably a bit optimistic).

To put it another way - if I start with a new HA installation with the Razberry card, am I going to have to open all my light switches and pair the z-wave devices all over again?

I’m not familiar with the Razberry card but Domoticz also uses OpenZwave so I think you can migrate without an issue by using your existing OpenZwave information.

OK, so you reckon the linking of the zwave devices to the razberry controller is actually done in the HA and Domoticz configs? That would make things easier. Thanks, I’ll look into it.

There are references within the Home-Assistant documentation that suggest using Domoticz to setup your Zwave devices.

No you don’t have to reinstall all Z-wave nodes, all data is stored on the Razberry board. I switched from Domoticz with a Razberry board (first version) to HA (rpi4) without issues.
