My New Motion integration EV Charging from Shell newmotion

Does anyone know if it’s possible to switch from 3 to 1-phase and back, without having Shell make a permanent change? What happens when you disconnect 2 of the 3 wires from the outlet cable with something like a Shelly Pro 3 Three-phase DIN-relay?

I need to store my solar output, because we are being billed for the amounts returned to the net. My Tesla M3 can go as low as 5A. If i could swap to 1-phase and back, the range for storing solar output would be somewhere between 1150w and 11040w. I can disconnect in between swaps first using Tesla API.

No, did not find out which credentials are correct.

I tried this in my 3 phase wallbox…it did not work anymore.

Does this integration work for somebody with 3 phase? I can adjust the charging current ONLY when I use a one phase cable. When I use a 3 phase cable it’s either full power or none.

For reference.
I tried disconnecting phase 2 and 3 going to the charger. Started to act strange, fluctuating amperage, settled at 13A, stopped charging when set at 5A (via Tesla). Disconnecting the wires from the charging cable (going to the car) does work though, stable 16A max.

I’m installing an extra magnetswitch to disable phase 2 and 3 when needed.

Question for the users of the local LAN status page. Is it possible to read from the json if the cable is connected to a car, without it charging. Status led green? Read which car would be even better since i have 2 EV’s.

I was thinking of using a waveshare RS485 to eth as a modbus server instead of the ESP32. Anyone else tried this before?

Hi all,

This looks great! I am new to HASS, etc., so please bare with me

I have installed:

  • HASS
  • NodeRed plugin
  • Mosquitto plugin
  • MQTT explorer
  • The sr-2-50.json Nodered Flow from @35e

But for some reason the flow doesn’t send the MQTT messages:

MQTT does work for zwave and esp-modules but nodered flow doesn’t seem to send any messages:

I have also tried adding a events:all node and configured it using an access token instead of the plugin, but in none of the cases the flow starts sending MQTT messages…

Any thoughts?

Regards,

Nika.

I must be missing something here as I cannot get past the login screen of the charger (username and password) admin.htm to even change the Server address. Does anyone know how to do this? Asked shell but they say I have to wait for 50Five transition?

Can anyone help please?

This admin page is only for installers of the charging stations as far as I know…

Thanks for the quick reply. How do I change the OCCP server away from shell to open source. From what I understand the admin access is where the server address can be changed? Surely I shouldn’t have subscribe to keep this function going as other charge points give the ability to change server address to who ever you want.

As far as I know, only installers of the charging stations (and Shell) do have access to this page. I would contact them again once the transition to 50Five is finished. I can barely get in touch with the helpdesk for a problem at the moment…

Hello all ! Excuse me, but have you the admin / password of the Newmotion/Shell recharge for the web configuration at the link. http://ipofthenewmotionAdvanced:12800 please
because Shell doesn’t want tell me this, its incredible… Its the same problem with the Wireless password, Shell don’t want communicate this information. Thank You Very Very Much

Shell Recharge is handing over their business to 50five group.

Could that be the issue that after >2 years my configuration (from DgThomson nodered - big thx by the way!) stopped working since a couple of days?

I can poll, flush cache, dump cache, expire token,… double checked the IDs. But when starting it gives an error: HTTP error [503:start].

Same issue here since a week ago, which co-incided with the transfer to the 50five account (just activated my online portal). I can still manually start with the card at the charger itself and also control the Amperage through the charger, but I cannot remotely start/stop anymore.

Anyone else have the same issue?

thx!

Ben

Hi,

Did anyone manage to make the fake xemex work on 3 phase? I am planning to switch from 1 phase 40A to 3 phase 32A. But if the fake xemex stops working as well as on 1 phase. I would probably skip the reinstall of the charging pole.

Bram

Just had a call with 50five (numobi) and Shell Recharge.

Shell: fully migrated, our API is no longer of use.

50five: they opened a ticket, but the support employee was quite sure they can´t provide the same functionalities as Shell R. They received already a lot of complaints about the lack of connectivity, but are closing functionalities due to split billing.

Bottom line: back to dinosaur times… we´ll wait on the reply from support and will look at alternative smart chargers in the meanwhile.

Are there hardware modifications we can do to steer the charger based on solar output?

Also migrated from Shell recharge to 50five.
However remote starting and stopping charger is possible. See my post on Shell Recharge moved to 50five operator · Issue #33 · dgthomson/nodered-shellrecharge · GitHub

Maybe @35e or someone else could give it a try to modify the subflow, for automated starting and stopping the charger sessions again.

What is the phone nr you used to call them?
Ive only found the web form so far, and response has been terrible/slow.

Here you go :-).

I have started a new Node Red flow for the 50five charger. Hopefully there are more people that have moved and would like to collaborate getting this flow as good as the previous one from dgthomson, @35e ?

Very interested but sadly only from end user perspective. I wish I could help out and contribute but unfortunately I’m not that familiar with configuring node red flows.
Following because in desperate need of start stopping automatically from within HA.
