MyEnergi - Zappi / Eddi / Harvi

This is the general discussion topic for the MyEnergi HACS integration developed by CJNE: GitHub - CJNE/ha-myenergi: Home Assistant integration for MyEnergi devices

This component will make all supported myenergi devices connect accessible in Home Assistant.
The energy sensors are fully compatible with the energy dashboard in Home Assistant.

There is a small roadmap with possible improvements and bugs which need fixing.

A new beta release is out:

Enable pre-releases for Myenergi in the HACS integration (under devices, not in the add-on) to help with testing.

Tried to follow the instructions to create the Helpers but the Helpers status is not changing when the car is charging.

I need a sensor for verifying that the car is either charging or not charging, so either electricity is being delivered to the car or not. Can this be achieved with the Charge When Locked sensor? If not, how can I create a Helper that works to do this.

Thanks.

There is a lot to learn in Home Assistant and template helpers are not the easiest thing. I recommend getting familiar with the history and logbook functionality of home assistant using the HA documentation and community cookbook.

This should show you the various entities and their states when charging or not charging. I use ā€œsensor.zappi_charger_statusā€. I might have renamed the entity, so your entity can have a different name.

Hi, I’m replying to this post as I couldn’t see a way to create a new post in the same area as myenergi-zappi-eddi-harvi…

This question relates to setting eddi power output:

I have an Eddi 2.1 with only integrated ethernet connected. I was hoping to avoid installing supplied CT clamps due to home disruption and I already have this data in HA.

I created a boost automation for cheap electricity at night by cancelling boost when tank temperature is reached (aux relay / temp board is fitted). Working well.

In daytime, I would like to schedule the Eddi to boost at 1kW, 2kW, or 3kW generally below the available solar (calculated on averaged 30 min data). This would be a nice way to protect the house batts when below 100%.

I need to set ā€œdevice limitā€ which exists as an Eddi setting but I can’t currently access it through the HACS Integration…
If it is available… would it still throttle the Eddi as maybe Boost Mode only supplies full power?

Many thanks,

Paul

AFAIK the Device Limit is only available at the physical device not through the API or any app…wanted to make changes to that myself and had to resort to physical access to Eddi.
Maybe changed since then but that was my experience…

Thanks for the advice… shame as ā€˜device limit’ would be a very useful parameter. I note there are very few controls available through the cloud ap either, so will have to work with what we’ve got. Thanks again for message.

Thanks for this.

I did notice this sensor, however, when I add it in Automations it doesn’t give me the option of selecting the different states shown in the history and the logbook. Do I have to write the status in free form text when creating the automation?

I have a Zappi2 und the integration setup and it seems to work. And the beginning it seemed that I was able to unlock zappi from home assistant (using the service). But now nothing happens when I call the service. I can still unlock from the myenergi app though.

All the sensors etc. still work.

Could you create an GitHub issue for this?

Can you also check the logs for errors and try if it works again after restarting home assistant? I expect more information is needed to be able to find and fix the root cause.
Maybe it helps if you link the issue here so others with the same problem can contribute.

Logs appear to be normal, after logging in to the myenergi dashboard, I was greeted with the following message:

" Important Notice:

AccessID Issue

We are aware of an issue affecting AccessID functionality, which may result in your PIN not being recognised on secondary devices within your ecosystem. Our team is actively working on a solution, but in the meantime, you might find success by attempting to set your PIN multiple times. However, we understand this is not ideal and far from the smooth experience you deserve.

Rest assured, our engineers are on the case, and we truly appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Thank you for bearing with us."

Could this be related? I have no idea since when this issue exists, but I was not able to unlock my zappi from HA for over a few months now.

Could be. Your guess is as good as mine.
Maybe Myenergi support can clarify the issue for you. There are probably more uses affected by the same issue so it’s useful to document it.

I’m trying to write a boost automation for my Eddi. I’d like the boost to stop when the tank has reached maximum temperature. There is a status of ā€œmax temp reachedā€, but I’ve noticed this only seems to happen when my eddi is diverting, not boosting. Has anyone else noticed this?

Does anyone else have issues with their Zappi status changing to unavailable? You can see this is happening a lot when I look in my logbook or at a status history, lots of black lines showing where it went unavailable. It’s messing with some of my automations.

I’m running Home Assistant in a docker container.

I don’t recall seeing an issue for this. Could it be a local network issue?

I’m running a Unifi setup. I have 2 Access points that are both within range and the network connectivity is not showing any concerns on the Unifi management software. Maybe I need to try myenergi support.

Unifi should be able to tell you how long a device is connected and connection quality.

You can also try Uptime Kuma - Home Assistant with the HA add-on for more detailed monitoring.

it’s not showing any disconnections other than the dates when I was installing a new access point and updating the software on the network switch.
I left a ping running and monitored it when the zappi went to ā€˜unavailable’ and there was no loss of ping packets.

Hello
I am since Yesterday a Proud Owner of a Zappi V2.1 and a Harvi for the CT Clamps Reading at my PowerBox. (3Phases)
So i installed also yesterday the HomeAssistant Addon and connect all myenergie Devices with HomeAssistant, all works well.

Only one think i dont understand : At HomeAssistant Energie Map i cannot select the Harvi Ct1-3 to read my current House Power usage, i only can used the ā€œPower Usage Todayā€ from my Hub, but this dont give me current readings only a Total for the whole day.
I missed something ? would be nice if i can used the Ct1-3 (real current reading from my Harvi) to getting in HomeAssistant my actuelle Power Consumstion
Thanks Bonny

Hi All

Not sure if this is a good place to post this but I got sick of there being no local way to control my Zappi and I have had issues controlling it at times so I created this device to control it locally via MQTT, Webserver and Home Assistant. I think this is important as MyEnergi shutdown the local API discussion here.

Its not perfect but it works and is local. The link is here Local Zappi. Let me know what you think?
